The Capital Ball was created to reunite and bring together young professionals from the Washington area that understand the importance of giving back to their community. From that initial idea, the Capital Ball has evolved into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit vehicle in which 1,000 individuals celebrate together in our Nation's Capital in support of incredible causes. The Capital Ball has created the opportunity for young, like-minded people in Washington to come together to network and support their community.
In 2012, we came together to create a philanthropic environment for a young crowd, in support of an incredible cause. Our inaugural event hosted over 600 young professionals in support of Children's National Medical Center, which has served the DC area for over 140 years. Children's National treats over 360,000 patients each year, and is a beacon of good health for kids throughout the world. We are thrilled to have supported their great work through our endeavor.
In 2013, the Capital Ball supported another outstanding local organization, the Washington Jesuit Academy. With close to 900 in attendance, the Second Annual Capital Ball was an amazing success. WJA provides a high quality and comprehensive education to boys from low-income communities, offering them a safe, rigorous academic setting and advancing their spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical growth.
With a great venue, incredible people and a fantastic cause, The Capital Ball is sure to establish itself as a must-attend event in the DC Metropolitan area. This annual black-tie affair establishes a setting where young professionals who understand the importance of giving back to the community can come together to network and support a great cause.
